The Texas Department of Transportation has been testing the electronic bidding system with the electronic bid bond throughout 2008 and anticipates making it available to contractors in March of 2009.

Surety 200 has spent much of 2008 traveling to Texas and providing training and information to Surety agents within the State. Lisa Clemens attended the Dallas Surety Association, San Antonio Surety Association and Houston Surety Association luncheons and provided a details presentation on the process and how it will affect the future of bonding within the state.
